Quick Facts

Common Names: Angel Wing Begonia

Latin Name: Begonia coccinea

The Dragon Wing Begonia can make your home pop with its spotted leaves and makes for a great houseplant. It is a moderate care plant as they need some consistent care and attention. They prefer bright indirect light as direct light can scorch the foliage as well as a room with pretty high humidity to mimic its native environment. If you live in a hot and humid enough climate you can even plant these outside in the ground or in decorative containers. Even though this plant is gorgeous it can be toxic to pets and children as it has soluble calcium oxalates that can cause mouth irritation.
